The head of state of a state has to be in the midst of security risks, perhaps no one else has to be. And if that person is POTUS, that is, the President of the United States, then there is no point. Always invisible assassins lurk around him, he will attack whenever he gets a chance. And so the secret agents have to be vigilant to protect him 24 hours a day. In the story of history, our topic today is about those desperate attempts to assassinate American presidents.

Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, served from March 1861 to April 1865, before his death.
April 14, 1865. That night, Abraham Lincoln took his wife, Mary Todd Lincoln, and two guests to see the play "Our American Cousin" at the Ford's Theater in Washington, DC. Actor and Confederate supporter John Wilkis Booth shot Lincoln in the back of the head with a 0.44 caliber Deringer pistol at around 10.15pm during the play. Major Henry Rathbone, who was present, tried to stop him. But Booth stabbed him in the chest and escaped with a knife in the other hand, just like he did that day.

Unconscious Abraham Lincoln was quickly taken from there to Petersen House on the other side of the road. After being in a coma for about 9 hours, he breathed his last at 7:22 am the next morning.
Booth's location was identified by Union troops, and he was eventually shot dead by Sergeant Boston Corbett on April 26, 1865.
James A. Garfield
James Abraham Garfield was the twentieth president of the United States. On March 4, 1881, he took charge of the country. But this good fortune was not written on his forehead for a long time. Less than four months after taking office, he was fatally shot by Charles Julius Guitao at 9:30 a.m. on July 2. Speaking of September 6, 1901, the time was 4:06 p.m. McKinley attended the Pan-American Exposition at the Temple of Music in Buffalo, New York. He was shot twice by an American named Leon Jalgasz with a 0.32 caliber revolver hidden behind a bandage. The first bullet hits a button on McKinnell's jacket or an award medal and returns and gets stuck in his sleeve. The second bullet, however, was able to hit the target. It pierced the president's stomach and left. He finally died at around 2:15 pm on September 14.
The people present gave such a whitewash to Jalagasj that the breath of life would come out if it was too small. Finally, on October 29, 1901, Jalgas was executed in an electric chair in Auburn Prison.

Needless to say, nothing happened except a slight damage to a window. The last time Obama was attacked was in April 2013. A letter mixed with raisin poison was sent to the service for Obama.
