Islamic monster and Edward Said in the eyes of the West
Islamic monster and Edward Said in the eyes of the West

Edward Said was born on November 1, 1935 in Jerusalem, Palestine.  He was a follower of the Potastant religion in the past.  This white man was a teacher by profession, a philosopher.  He graduated from Mount Harmon School in Northfield in 1953 with an MA from Pinton University.  He then completed his PhD at Harvard.  Fearless in speaking the truth, Said was a vocal opponent of Western imperialism and aggression.  His most famous work is Orientalism.

This book, which revolutionized the world of thought, was written in 1978.  Throughout the pages of this book, he illustrates the far-reaching and profound techniques of the West with the East.  Orientalism caused a great stir in the intellectual circles all over the world.  Through Orientalism, Said unveiled the nature of Orientalism and drew people's attention to the issue.  His other famous book is Covering Islam: How the Media and the Experts Determine How We See the Rest of the World.  Said died of cancer on September 25, 2003.  He was buried in the Potastant Cemetery in Lebanon.

There is nothing to introduce Edward Wadi Said.  Said is a realistic inquisitive person.  He has fulfilled the responsibility of a truly known person all his life.  His position was in favor of justice and fairness.  Despite being a potestant in religion as a family, he wrote against Western aggression and Israeli occupation.

He portrayed the ugly and ugly face of imperialism in front of the people.  Through his books, he cautiously exposes to the reader how imperialism is abusing the literature and journalism of the first world countries, even outside the commodity war.  His famous book is Orientalism.  In this book, he has thoroughly analyzed the writings of the Bagha Bagha writers and philosophers of the West, showing how the mentality of occupying and degrading the East has been implicit in their writings.  In his book Covering Islam, he uses data to prove how Western corporations are cleverly using their media to their advantage.

His deep research has highlighted the immoral but strong propaganda about Islam and Muslims in the West.  In particular, Said has strongly argued for the narrow-mindedness of the USA media, which has strongly supported Islam.  Said points out that the Tambedar group in the West, which also includes many Islamists, are originally known as Orientalists, presenting a myth of a different kind of Islamic giant.

Said has presented the East through Orientalism.  Where mainly the Muslim world has been presented.  The alternative is foreign colonialism and the mysterious global power, hypnotized by the Western bloc, is an excellent discharge.  Similarly, the picture we see of the Islamic world reflects the sheikhs of the oil-rich countries' free-handed harem dancing and the skeptical attitude under the veil.  Said emphasizes that cleverly presenting Islam is an innate tendency of Orientalists.  ‘Risky, Sensitive and Responsive’ - this is how the East is valued in the West.  ‘They’ and ‘we’ are inherently different, thus creating responses.  Which is valued and driven by misconceptions, some in a combination of evangelist and conservative ideals.

Islam is an exemplary religion with a strong culture.  It has unique features and distinctive aristocracy.  But the cash response to the damage that has inevitably resulted from the West's bigotry and narrow propaganda around the world is a lack of understanding between civilizations and cultures.  The role of Islam in the advancement of civilization from prehistoric times is very bright.  Islam has made outstanding contributions in the fields of literature, law, politics, history and art.  Islam has spread all over the world with its appeal.  In a word, it is a message that has spread across geographical and cultural boundaries to Africa, Asia, the Middle East and even Western Europe and America.  As a result, its unique vitality has spread on all maps.

The Western media wants us to believe that the protest and conscious movements in the Third World, especially those with religious identities, are basically Islamic militant movements.  Thus the tone and melody of the truth of the East changed when it came to the West.  Islam is being challenged as a fundamentalist or militant in the name of special individualism, which is based on religious ideology, and it has become a kind of insult.  If the issue of ideological protest is ignored and the true and correct issue is ignored without depicting it as the ultimate problematic and essential consequence, at the same time it becomes a harmful issue for others.

Said rationally illustrates some of the techniques of capitalism that have become commonplace in remote areas of the Third World in the form of educational and intellectual institutions.  This is an inconsistent attempt to bring back the imperialist colony.  In this case, there is no doubt that Islam is a great opponent.  And that is why Islam is propagated as anti-free thinking and anti-civilization.  Smoke is created.  It is also called the primitive technique of fishing in muddy waters.

The US media is a little different from the British or French media.  Western societies, consumer groups, organizations and their interests are also different.  One thing is always on the mind of every American journalist, his country is the only superpower in the world that has a specific interest and it is his responsibility to achieve that interest;  People-journalists of other countries do not have these thoughts in their heads.  Every U.S. journalist is aware of this when reporting on the world, his employer corporation is also a partner in U.S. power.

Said looks at New York Post, New Republic, New York Times, Commentary, The Atlantic, Time Magazine, etc.  How horribly these writers of imperialism have presented the East to the West!

For example, authors [Orientalists] such as Bernard Lewis, one of the most influential and powerful publishers, and publisher of the Atlantic Monthly, present Islam as irrational, anti-Western, and anti-Western.  ] As.  This is done by applying all the techniques of knowledge and literature.  All of these publications are strategized so broadly and forcefully and resort to propaganda that has a profound effect on the human mind and drives their tendencies in certain circles.  It is one of the wonderful gems of the Western government and media, which has been working diligently to drive public opinion in the political interest.  Saeed points out that Western corporations have specifically trained a number of formidable high-profile journalists who will pursue their interests in various countries in the Middle East or Asia.

Saeed has provided the best illustration of all these events in his investigative vision, showing America's sweet relationship with the revolution in eastern Iran and at the same time how the Iranian crisis has been presented in the Western media in recent times.  Especially Iran's nuclear program, the initiators of which are mainly the Western world.  He quoted the New York Post's senior reporter, George Carpozi, as saying.  Karpozi, based on his own argument, claimed that Khomeini's Islamic government was almost equal to Khomeini and Hitler.  That is to say, Ayatollah Khomeini, like Adolf Hitler of that era, was an oppressive, arbitrary and disturbing ruler.  The difference between the author of the Main Camper and the author of the Islamic Government is that one is an atheist, the other pretends to be God.

This is how most Westerners get acquainted with Islam, this is how Islam is presented to them.  They take advantage of the crisis in the Middle East and the political turmoil in the region.  He showed the clever portrayal of the Western media and the application of certain terms such as: nationalism, anti-humanity, cruel enmity.  It shows that in the East, there is an expression of resentment and hatred towards the West and reactivity is created.
Especially in the Middle East - such as Iran.  Ayatollah Khomeini [who is a religious leader in Iran] is an anti-American and unscrupulous political speaker.

As well as highlighting the exorbitant costs of oil-rich Arab sheikhs, authoritarian powers and harem myths, the roar of angry teenagers being shot in the Palestinian territories, the burning of American flags in the streets these are the mainstays of the Western media.

Similarly, he illustrates how the use of military terminology in the Third World [such as militant, separatist so-called words], the printing of fictional reports and the creation of so-called villains are used as targets for imperialism.  Apart from this, one of the responsibilities of these media is to prevent religious conflicts, to create communalism or to create chaos by creating dominance among political groups.  In a word, the vow of all these media is to create pastures in the east and west.

Saeed says Third World residents depend on a handful of Western news agencies.  Such as- CNN, BBC.  The job of these news organizations is to transfer the news to the third world.  Even in most cases, the news is about a region of the Third World.  In other words, instead of being a source of third world news, it has become a news consumer.  The Third World is learning about itself in the light of various statuses, history and information created by the West.

All in all, Said comments in simple language, on complex socio-political and cultural developments, which play an influential role in the West's experience of Islam.  He gives a clear explanation of all the juicy elements of the media that determine the position of the West on Islam and the East.  Said wants to question the militant spirit in the region, which has become a natural part of the anti-Western struggle.  Following the shadows he finds the portrait.  He pointed out the root causes of the Eastern crisis and the prehistoric events or realities that have taken place in the region.

The anti-aggression protest consciousness, which is one-sided intolerance in the western media, is also one of those issues.  Saeed wants to say that the bipartisan rhetoric on the unresolved issues in the Middle East over the years is a negative and contemptuous view of the West.  On the contrary, Islam has a strong position and human values, which the West never says.  Only by reading his writings can a deep-minded person realize the various political and military polarizations of the time, the changing world situation of 9/11 and the nature of Western corporate journalism and oriental system.
