A bomb blast near the Lebanese capital, Beirut, has killed at least 40 people. Israel is on the list of suspects in many countries after the explosion. They say Israel may be to blame.

 A huge explosion ripped through a warehouse near the port of Beirut just after 6:00 pm local time on Tuesday. The blast killed more than 190 people and injured more than 7,000 others. Officials in the country fear that many people are trapped in the rubble.

 Meanwhile, influential Iraqi lawmaker Mohammed al-Baldawi said Israel could be behind the horrific bombings in Beirut.

 "I don't think it's just an accident," he told Al-Ma'luma on Wednesday.  Rather, there is a hand behind it. '

 He added that it is true that it will take a long time to complete the investigation into the cause of this horrific explosion.  But for various reasons, it seems that Israel is involved.

 "Israel is accustomed to this kind of heinous act," he said.  They enjoy killing innocent people.  Israel has caused many such incidents in different countries in the past.  They bombed Iraq's peaceful nuclear facilities in 1981, and last year the Iraqi military raided the weapons depot of Hashad al-Shabir.

 Israel has also committed heinous acts, such as the killing of nuclear experts.  Muhammad al-Baldawi said Israel could be blamed for the situation.

 However, the Israeli foreign minister said they were not involved in the Beirut bombings.  Meanwhile, Lebanese economist Ziad Nasser Uddin said the bombing at the port of Beirut would benefit Israel economically.

 According to him, the Lebanese port of Beirut has always been considered a rival to the Israeli port of Haifa.  The huge loss of the port of Beirut will create a convenient location for the Israeli port of Haifa.

 Ziad Nasr Uddin added that such a catastrophe has never happened since the establishment of Lebanon.  As a result, Lebanon has suffered the greatest economic and social losses.  The port of Beirut has always played an important role in keeping the country's economic wheel in motion.  Due to its geographical importance, the port also plays an important role in the Silk Route project.

 The expert said that according to some, this is the first time such a large explosion has taken place after the explosion caused by the US atomic bombing of Hiroshima in Japan.  He estimates that more than 1 billion could have been lost as a result.
